shoes, shoes, glorious shoes, nothing quite like them for curing the blues...

so, for christmas i got a grand total of £65. and i spent the whole lot in shelleys. but dear god. they were selling everything off at 75% discounts; they had boots for a fiver! a fiver! so cue much squealing and probably illegal-in-a-public-place moaning as my mother and i died of shoe heaven...

i came out with:

1) black moulin rouge!-esque ankle boots. they have a curvy heel, pointy toes, and are shiny, with faux buttons up the sides like proper victorian boots would have been, except they zip up. and they fit me, which is a bonus. bought for £10 down from about £60. i wanted the long ones (they were dark red) but they didn't fit.
2) burgundy suede strappy boots, the kind that scrunch down. i wanted some to go with a skirt i have. they were £45 down from £70, the most expensive, but still less than i was expecting to pay.
3) new trainers. but you see, these are special trainers. they're sling backs, with a wood/cork wedge heel, and they're mad and gold. i feel like rocky horror, but hey... (i have a gold bikini, but... uh, no. not going as rocky next time. nope.) bought for £5.
4) purple ankle boots. they zip up the front and have a strap as well, and even though they don't zip all the way up (designed for people with no ankles...) it can be got away with. also bought for £5.

so, yeah. there goes that money. :) i have some HMV vouchers, but there's nothing i immediately want other than amélie on DVD, and the season 2 most haunted DVD (so if i ever do the derby ghost walk with richard felix i can be all geeklike and get him to sign it. ditto if i ever actually go to see derek acorah live...) and anyway, having worked new year's eve, i've now got £75, plus £14 tips, and £20 off my mum to pay for my dot com, whenever i have time to actually set it up.

and no, i still haven't started my essay. although i did start doing notes on union street this afternoon during sky one's spike night (:D!) and hey, i can do 3000 words in three days. no problem. that's only 1000 a day, right?

wow, i am the queen of the procrastinators...

okay, i should sign off and go to bed.... going back up to derby tomorrow so will doubtless be online constantly once more. having complained about this keyboard, now it's been used, it's unstiffening quite nicely. it is still, however, evil...
