so i finally got around to using it today by making biscuits for myself instead. here's how they're meant to work. the butter is melted in the pan with the sugar and then it sticks all the oats together. it's only cooked to brown it. when it cools, it's meant to stay together.
except it never bloody does. so now i have a container with some vaguely biscuit-shaped things in it, and this...
i think i'll either eat it with a spoon, or re-heat it and hope i can get it to stick together... *sigh*
