Soundtrack to my life...

Stolen from various people.  Though, naturally, I'm now going to forget the titles of every single song I know. It's like asking me to sing on demand when I'm not prepared: I'll automatically forget the tune...

Opening Credits: the opening credit music from OMWF seems rather apt here. :D
Waking Up: "Good Morning Starshine", from Hair.
Average Day: "Hand In My Pocket" by Alanis Morissette .
First Date: "Black Coffee" by All Saints.
Falling in Love: "Blame It On The Moon" by Katie Melua.
Love Scene: "Too Much In Love To Care", from Sunset Boulevard.  Which, yeah, is the Betty/Joe song, but it's a good song, dammit.
Fight Scene: "Little People" from Les Misérables ('...cos little people know, when little people fight, we may look easy pickings, but we got some bite...") or the Munkustrap/Macavity fighting music from Cats.
Breaking Up: "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright, or "Don't Speak" by No Doubt
Getting Back Together: "Call Off The Search" by Katie Melua, because I'm otherwise completely stumped.  But thinking about it has made me realise I have about 50 different Breaking Up songs...
Secret Love: "Secret Love" by Doris Day, from, err, something.  Or "On My Own" from Les Misérables or "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge!, given the circumstances of it in the movie...
Life's Okay: Um... can I get back to you on that one?
Mental Breakdown: "Jump Or Be Sane" by Catatonia, or "Lilac Wine" by Jeff Buckley/Katie Melua; "Imaginary" by Evanescence.
Driving: "Bicycle Race", by Queen; "Tire Tracks and Broken Hearts" from Whistle Down the Wind; anything on the Priscilla soundtrack.
Learning a Lesson: "My Selfish Gene" by Catatonia.
Flashback: "Believe" by Cher (nostalgia) and pretty much anything from the 80s... but if it's a strict actual flashback song that isn't because of nostalgia, um... "Turn Back Time", by Cher, once more. ;)  Or Aqua, even...
Partying: "The Time Warp" from Rocky Horror, it being the only song I'll dance to.  Or possibly "Dancing Queen" by Abba.
Happy Dance: I don't have a happy dance.  I don't really have many happy songs... Oh, wait, "Teenage Dirtbag", by Wheatus.
Long Night Alone: "All By Myself", by Celine Dion, because I am Bridget Jones.
Death Scene: "Over The Rainbow", from The Wizard of Oz (it's top of my "songs to kill yourself to" list...)
Closing Credits: "End It On This", by No Doubt.

Phew.  Do we think I should probably get some more happysongs in my music collection?

Incidentally, I just watched Cabaret on Channel Four, remembered how wonderful it was, and must now search for fic.  I think I definitely have some kind of incurable disease...

This year's Children in Need EastEnders parody was random musicals. SO COOL. It actually beats their "Thriller" video starring Barry as the Michael…
