Went out to get my prescription and some bits from Lidl (pickled onions, brie, air freshener refill) and ended up buying:
McDonalds - lunch, £3.49.
Shoe Express - some pumps, green with white embroidered flowers. Purdy. £10.00.
New Look - dress / top (I will most likely use it for both) in four wide stripes of turquoise, mauve, lighter turquoise and dark blue. It's very Lily Allen... £12.00.
QS - short-sleeved shirt for work, white with pale blue paisley design. Bargain at £2.50.
I think everything was in the sale, which was probably just as well, although I seem to have lost any and all energy these days for searching sale racks, or any racks at all. I also learnt in the process of shopping the following Three Important Things:
1) I really don't like the latest fashions.
2) Those tops everyone is wearing that are just long t-shirts are really, totally not designed for people shaped like me (i.e. hips four times the size of their waist) and aside from that they're just ugly.
3) It is absolutely impossible to find a pair of flat, black, untarty sandals. I can't wear anything with toe posts, flip flops are STUPID, and everything else has a four inch stiletto on it. I want sandals for WORK, stupid designers, not for the beach or partying. *sigh* The only place I can find anything remotely similar to what I want is Clarks. Which, no. Expensive.
This morning I also went slightly mad online and bought two CDs off Amazon (The Killers's Sam's Town and Emily Haines's Knives Aren't At Your Back. Was going to get the new Editors album but through the joys of the interweb discovered I didn't like them as much as I thought I would from Q's description... so saved myself some money there) and another, smaller version of the 'Tournee du Chat Noir' poster which got ruined on the way home from Uni. I only got the latter because Amazon tricked me with their 20% off voucher, otherwise I would have restrained myself.
The online stuff has been covered by transferring the total £27.00 from my savings account and I'll probably do the same for the stuff earlier as well, just so my bank account remains relatively healthy until pay day...
I would take photos and that, but my camera's being a pain in the arse. Which reminds me, I must finish emailing the Tewkesbury photos to myself...
